Everything starts with the planning. While it seems easy to plan, you have to consider various parameters to plan a feasible schedule. You cannot afford discrepancies that will ruin your preparation. First of all, calculate the amount of time left for the examinations to begin. When you have calculated the time, you will be able to allot a fixed number of hours for subjects, revision, practicing questions, recreational activities, and other activities.

Now, you have to decide an optimum time for studying. For example, if you are a morning person, you can wake up early and finish a study session in the morning, and another one in the evening. But if you prefer evening sessions, you can keep two sessions in the evening.

While preparing aschedule, you have to consider holidays as well. For example, weekends, preparation holidays, and so on. Your study schedule should include time for studying syllabus content, solving practice problems, and revision.

Prioritize Subjects

Your weak subjects need to your attention. If you are good in Mathematics, you can just revise the formulas, and keep on practicing questions. But if you think Mathematics is your weakness, you have to devote enough time to study concepts and formulas, practice problems, revise content and attempt mock papers. Thus, your approach differs depending on your hold over a subject.

Set Goals

Don’t adopt a haywire approach while preparing at the last moment. Your goals should be clearly defined. For example, if there is just one month left for the examinations, you can divide your schedule into four slots, one week for one slot. And under each slot, you will accomplish a goal. If your goal is to complete English Literature and English Language, you have to define your schedule in a way to complete syllabus and practice in a comprehensive manner, within the stipulated time period.

Revise and Review

Before starting with the day, you should develop a habit of reviewing the content studied on the previous day. Let’s say you can devote 30 minutes for revising the concepts, definitions, and key points in this time period. To accomplish the job in half an hour, you have to abide by the concise notes prepared during your preparation. Thus, develop a habit of revising the content from the notes so that you don’t goof up in the ICSE exam.
